We’ve seen them in exotic locations from Cuba to Cambodia, Nigeria to Nepal, Pakistan to Peru, and India to even parts of Italy; now a very special fleet of rickshaws are back in London after last year’s Olympic cameo. Iconic Rickshaws for Relief, presented by artists and cultural visionaries alike, including Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, celebrated British Pakistani artist Zoobs, Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa’s comic book heroes ‘The 99’, and luxury designer Bareeze amongst others, will all be unveiling unique designs celebrating the rickshaw as a cultural icon.
The campaign uses the tools of mixed media, digital engagement, social media and the rickshaws themselves, to awaken social responsibility and highlight the essential work still needed to meet the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals across developing and emerging nations. Join the journey towards global prosperity as our Iconic Rickshaws’ nostalgic charm acts as a beacon of hope, tackling the adversities faced by underprivileged communities in poverty-stricken countries around the world.
