Freedom of Food and the Golden Temple was shot as part of a self-funded project looking at the origins of our food systems ‘the source project‘. Known as ‘Langar’ or free kitchen, volunteer pilgrims donate, cook and clean for around 100,000 people a day, and all for free. This is a short visual journey of just another lunch at the Golden Temple.

The Kumbh Mela, has been the greatest of the Indian fairs, attracting the world’s largest congregation of religious pilgrims. Millions of people are said to attend the Purna Kumbh Mela, making it the largest gathering anywhere in the world.
