‘At the beginning i hadn’t any scenario, but a lot of footage. So it was a big research job to be coherent between numbers and the images. I wanted to stay impartial, to be neutral, because India is a melting of sensations. You have wonderful things and other really sad…it’s kind of a lesson of life. Anyway, India is growing up, more and more people care about it, and I hope it will keep that way…’
